PIN-110001Sub: Soliciting inputs/observations/comments for amendment of RR-2018 of IP&TAFS Gr. "B"-reg. Ref: Directorate letter F No 301(1)/2012/PA-Admn 111/ 5052 to5140 dated 27.07.2020Sir. With reference to Directorate letter under reference on the subject cited above, the following points/comments are furnished for amendment in RR-2018 Increase in quota for promotion to AAO cadre on Seniority-cum- fitness basis and Departmental Examination to the Senior Accountants working in PAO offices as proposed in RR-2016 and approved by DOPT and UPSC in the year-2017, may be considered. The utilization of services of feeder cadre i.e. SA/JAs, who have the working experience and sufficient knowledge in Accounts Offices, may be more beneficial for smooth working of the office. It is pertinent to mention here that the SA/JAs have rendered their service in the department for more than 20 to 25 years and having good knowledge of working in various branches/sections of PAOs. 2. AAOs examinations may be included in Annual Calendar of Examination and exams may be conducted on yearly basis to recoup the shortage in AAO cadre. 3. Residency period for Jr. Acctt./ Sr Acctt. to appear in AAO examination may be prescribed for 3 years to give more opportunity for staff working in PAO to appear in AAO examination This will not only boost up the morale of employees of PAOs but also help in running the office smoothly with more productive outcomes.
