 Clarification or Guidelines for PM Cares for Children Scheme 2021

Sir/Madam,

In continuation of virtual meeting held on 24.11.2021 at 15:00 hrs in respect of opening of account under PM CARES for children Scheme 2021. This office has received some queries from West Bengal Circle and Maharashtra Circle.

To avoid any delay in opening of account I am directed to issue the following clarification on query raised by West Bengal and Maharashtra Circles

(i) Reference received from West Bengal Circle.

Query: - Whether DM can authorize ADM to open account under PM CARES for Children Scheme 2021 ?.

Clarification: -Yes, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) can open such account on behalf of District Magistrate (DM). The same is prescribed in para 7(iii)(d) of PM CARES for Children Scheme guidelines issued by Ministry of Women and Child Development on 05.10.2021. (Copy attached for reference).

(ii) Reference received from Maharashtra Circle

Query: - 1. Which mode of operation has to be entered in the tab of “Operation Mode”?

Clarification: - 019 (Minor through guardian)

2. What should be entered in the tab of “Related Party Details” – Joint Holder/Authorised Signatory?

Clarification: - Authorized Signatory

3. Which option has to be entered in the tab of Nominee relationship?

Clarification : - Others (999)

4. What should be entered as entitlement of nominee – owner/trustee?

Clarification : - Owner
