 DA instalment for July 2021 will increase by 3%


It is now confirmed after the release of AICPIN for June 2021 that DA instalment for July 2021 will increase by 3%

All India Consumer Price Index Numbers for the month of June 2021 increased by 1.1 points and stood at 121.7. With this all 12 months AICPIN points are available to find the average of AICPIN to calculate the rate of DA from July 2021. Use this Calculator to check the rate of DA to be increased from 1st July 2021.

Central Government has restored the 3 DA instalments dues prospectively from 1st July 2021

Instalments of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees due from 01.01.2020, 01.07,2020 and 01.01.2021, were frozen and Central Government has decided to enhance from the existing rate of 17% to 28% with effect from 1st July, 2021. The increase subsumes the additional instalments arising on 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01,2021. 

But the instalment of DA which is due from 1st July 2021 is yet to be approved by Union Cabinet. After the release of AICPIN for the month of June , it is now confirmed that the rate of DA will be enhanced from 28% to 31%.

Necessary approval of Union cabinet for this DA enhancement will be given in the first week of September 2021
