i. Seth Lonkaranji Jagannathji Chandak, born in 1906 was a disciple of Mahatma Gandhi. He had participated actively in India’s freedom movement. As President of Solapur Municipality, he had the distinction of hoisting the flag of Independent India in Solapur on 15th August 1947

ii. Haribhai Devkaran Prashala is a Marathi Medium School which was started on 1st April, 1918. Founded by a group of educationists and social reformers, this school is a branch of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Pune. In 2017, the school is entering in its 100th year. Over the years, numerous students of this school have contributed on various fields.
