Article on bitter History of 6 days week work betrayal and discrimination to operative officials

Article on bitter History of 6 days week work betrayal and discrimination to operative officials

1. It is grave betrayal to all civil operative officials including Postal officials since by citing 5th pay commission report(chapter 118), Administrative officers have conveniently enforced again to enjoy 5 days work week to them that means to civil administrative offices but what mockery is 5th CPC report clearly recorded the failure of 5 days work week at civil administrative offices to reintroduce again 6 days work week with only 2nd Saturday holiday to all administrative offices including operative officials.
Before 1985, all officials including operative officials enjoyed 2nd week Saturday holiday with 6 days work week to all administrative/operative offices.

2. But height of the injustice is bureaucrats favoured themselves by enforcing again 5 days work week to administrative offices by mentioning the same 5th CPC report(Chapter 118) though 5th CPC recommended to abolish Saturday holiday to administrative offices but bureaucrats cunningly reduced CL to 8 from 12 days to civil operative officials also though operative officials are already functioning 52 Saturdays extra every year.

3. The bitter truth is JCM also agreed Saturday holidays to the administrative office without claiming the same to operative offices also.

4. Now we have to demand either
a. 5 days work week with Saturday holiday to operative offices also by working 30 minutes extra per day

 *or*

b. 52 days extra EL credit every year for working 52 days if Govt concern on public service will be affected. So that officials may take such leave when needy

 *or*

c. Two months extra salary credit to operative officials for working 52 days extra in a year if Govt is not ready to grant 52 days extra EL credit. *Or*

5. Reintroduce 2nd week Saturday holiday additionally 4th week Saturday holiday with 6 days work week to all offices including administrative offices to stop utter discrimination to operative officials.

6. 5th CPC report chapter 118, DOPT orders related to above article are shared herewith. Now we have to make this mass campaign to knock the door till it is opened.
