 Affixing QR Codes at POS Counters of all Sub Post Offices / RMS Offices / BNPLs / BPCs for facilitating UPI based on line payment

Sub: Affixing QR codes at POS counters of all Sub-Post Offices /RMS Offices / BNPLs / BPCs for facilitating UPI based on line payment.
This is in continuation of Parcel Directorate letter of even number dated 13.04.2022. Phase-l of deployment of UPI solution through QR Code at all Head Post Offices PoS counters has been completed successfully in all the circles.

2. QR codes now have to be affixed at all Pos Counters in the Departmental Post Offices including RMS Offices/BPCs/BNPLs, wherever applicable. Schedule for upgradation of POS version from 4.3 to 4.5 is attached as Annexure, which must be followed strictly by the circles for deploying the solution at all locations. The schedule is only for upgradation of PoS version from 4.3 to 4.5.

3. Process to be followed for upgradation of POS Version from 4.3 to 4.5 is mentioned below: 
a) Please ensure successful execution of Daily Sync after PO END in Back Office. 

b) After successful execution of Daily Sync, the Back Office and counter applications have to be upgraded. 

c) For upgradation of Back Office application, Open the “Back Office" application, This will enable auto-update of Back Office application. Wait till the process is complete. 

d) After successful upgradation of Back Office, please open "Counter" application in the same machine. This will enable auto-update of Counter. Please wait till the process is complete.

e) in the offices where more than one counter is available, please copy "Application" folder available in C:\PoS folder path (of the earlier upgraded machine) and paste the same in respective location of other machines. If all these steps are done, the POS upgradation is successful.

4. After upgradation, if any error is noticed during the operation in Pos, please follow below mentioned steps on Local Server: 
a) Ensure successful execution of High Sync.
b) Open below mentioned link in your Server machine
c) Extract the downloaded ZIP file and run "DbActivity.bat" file. 
d) On successful execution, you will get a success message (Utility Executed Successfully). If the issue is still not resolved, a ticket may also be raised through service desk.

5. QR codes will be generated separately and provided to the Circles as and when available, with separate instructions.

6. Hon'ble MoC has desired that the Department should positively complete the task of affixing QR codes for enabling digital payment at all POS counters in Post Offices by 30.04.2022. Circles are requested to adhere to the timeline for affixing the QR codes at all the POS counters.

7. QR codes will be generated separately and provided to the Circles as and when available, with separate instructions.
