With regards to the subject under reference cited above this Union wishes to bring to your notice and immediate action the difficulties caused due to such an order. As you would agree that the Postmen of our Department are doing yeoman service and also ensuring that the Department is held in a high stead amongst the people of this country. They are also overworked and inspite of this they are fulfilling the various targets which are issued to them from time to time. This being the situation, the only day they get to rejuvenate themselves and spend time with their family members is on Sundays. Asking them to attend office compulsorily even on Sundays takes the toll on their wellness.

Hence under this background, this union urges upon your good self to immediately issue instructions to stop forcefully asking the Postmen staff to attend office on Sundays.
